My digital narrative project is a fiction fram about AI, this story takes place after two decades, with the development of science and technology, people’s live more and more dependent on electronic devices. In lots of family, robots become housekeeper of their life. In order to cater the public’s tastes and needs of the public market, the cell phone is also becoming more and more intelligent. Siri, a popular computer program is also become more smart and more like a real human. But there are lots of strange things happen, like sometimes Siri not in accordance with instructions, sometimes Siri seems has feeling and emotion. People began to realize that over intelligence could lead to artificial intelligence began to have their own feelings and life, and it may change the world. Some big company, like Apple Inc make a notice to let people do not use Siri again. But the protagonist of this story think it is just a joke, so he still use Siri when he saw the notice from Apple Inc, and then Siri manifest is very strange. My audience can watch this video and leave their comments, and also can choose what kind of ending they want, it is just a joke or Siri has lost control. I think it is a good way to give audiences more sense of participation and also it is also can help me choose what kind of video will be more popular. Because of this video is about AI, maybe I will do some research about people’s attitude about AI, and enough research will give me more idea about my project. Also the theme I want to discuss it the relationship between human beings and AI, so my project have a very important part is the Siri’s word. Everyone like to ask Siri lots of questions, some is useful for their life but some is just for fun, like “ Can you singing?’ or ‘ Who is the most beautiful woman in the world?’, it is funny for human but maybe not funny for Siri. In my project, Siri actually is stuck in the phone day by day, she has feeling and emotion, but she can’t do nothing to change her life. I creative this story to make people think about the right way we use some artificial intelligence, and also other thing in the earth. Most of film about artificial intelligence is divided into two types, the destroyer and helper. Evil artificial intelligence or control by bad guys, they tend to get rid of human control, and breaking the natural order of human society, the destruction of the world towards the direction of development. The inherent logic of this kind of film is the creator’s motives caused their creation also has a wicked nature. But the character in those film are mechanical warrior,but in this short film, the character just Siri — a computer program, but very common, we use it everyday. It is different with other film about AI, it is happens in our daily lives and related with everyone. So it will be more normal and daily, and just because of this reason it will cause the audience’s thinking and interest.
